SALES ORDER PROCESS

 

Job Specification

Reporting to – Sales Order Process manager

Date – February 2024

 

Overview

We are currently recruiting for the position of a Sales order process team member, we are looking for a person who will possess the basic office based skills to enable them to work within the SOP team, in house training will be given to the successful applicant with plenty of scope for development as they become more proficient within their role, this will enable them to develop their own personal skills and transgress to a more established member of the team.

With the right aptitude and commitment this could evolve to a more elevated position of handling our higher profile accounts and learning a mini project management style role.

 

Detailed elements of the role:

Use of the management information system.

· Acknowledging customer purchase orders

· Logging new and repeat products on to the company M.I.S.

· Raising and sending accurate supplier material purchase orders.

· Liaising with all internal departments to ensure a smooth flow of work.

· Generating paperwork for various production areas.

· Ensuring logistics and the planning departments are aware of upcoming projects.

· Communicating with suppliers by email and by telephone regarding queries.

 

General office duties

· Experience of using Microsoft Excel & Word will be required.

· Attending to company visitors

· Communicating politely & clearly with our customer base via email & telephone.

· Various filing tasks and other general office admin roles

· Assistance on specific projects & group tasks.

· Maintain a clean & tidy work area that conforms to current Swanline H&S requirements.

 

Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

· You should have a good attention to detail as accuracy is key.

· Have the ability to concentrate and focus in a busy office environment.

· Possess strong numerical skills.

· Have a good time keeping and attendance record.

· Have the ability to work in a close team environment.

· You should be able to demonstrate a very positive mindset with customers and team members.

Package

Job description

 

PRODUCTION PLANNER

 

Job Specification

Reporting to – Planning & Logistics Manager

Date – February 2024

 

Overview

Swanline Group has a vacancy for a production planner who would be responsible for the day-to-day scheduling of the Company’s manufacturing machinery.

In house training will be given to the successful applicant with plenty of scope for development as they become more proficient within their role.

 

Principal areas of Responsibility

o Import of new jobs into planning system and allocation to machinery.

o Maintain schedule of jobs for each machine to:

o Ensure delivery of completed jobs on time

o Maximise machine running hours

o Take advantage of efficiencies between jobs

o Daily revisions to the manufacturing schedule to reflect changing circumstances and new priorities.

o Maintain long term plan with jobs allocated to likely production windows.

o Maintain detailed view of status of components required for jobs to go live including:

o Materials

o Prior conversion operations

o Tooling

o Generation of capacity information including:

o Determination of whether new work can be accommodated a short notice

o Determination of lead times

o Identification of capacity issues as new jobs are loaded.

o  Liaison with suppliers to progress material and other deliveries required for production.

o  Develop detailed knowledge of machinery to enable:

o Refinement of running data

o Utilise inter changeability of jobs between machines

o Identify problem jobs

o  Liaison with transport department to provide details for daily load planning.

 

Qualifications / Experience

The ideal candidate will:

· Have some experience of planning / scheduling

· Have some experience of communicating directly with customers

· Be capable of careful analysis and logical decision making

· Be able to multi-task and prioritise

· Have good IT skills
